Viking Trader - Personal Project

This character was a lot of fun to work on in my spare time. My goal was to push my skills in creating realistic characters and also trying out a few new tools and workflows along the way such as projecting TexturingXYZ textures inside of Substance Painter and working with curve based hair for games (was really interested to see Unreal 5's implementation of alembic based grooms directly from Maya).
I also wanted to create a "not so stereotypical" viking character and tried to do some research on period accurate clothing and colors.
All the shots are rendered with Marmoset Toolbag 4 except for the Unreal realtime hair comparison shot.
Also I hope to soon add a haircard based version for his hair as another comparison.
